Today I woke up at 1:30PM.
And then I made myself a big breakfast.
And then I remembered that my younger sister was having the family over for dinner.
A sort of Christmas Eve Ever dinner.
So, I had to go eat MORE.
Here are some photos:
I'm really into blurry photos lately.
In one of the classes I'm taking, the professor always begins with the "Our Father" prayer:
Our Father, who art in heaven; hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come;
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our
daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who
trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation; but deliver us
from evil. Amen.
Today I decided to listen to others as they prayed, to see what sort of mistakes were being made, and this was the only one I heard:
Our Father, who art in heaven; hallowed be Thy name; Thy Catholic come...
On an unrelated classic rock note, "Stairway to Heaven" is NOT the song I wanted to hear on the drive to school today.
P.S. Because I was listening to mistakes people were making during the prayer does not mean I was looking for any sort of weaknesses in others' devotion to God. I was just looking for mistakes.
This is a conversation I got via Etsy this morning, concerning my language on the forums:
"You don't know me and it's likely that you have zero interest in my feelings or beliefs, but at least twice in about as many weeks you've managed to work the "n" slur into a forum post.
I can't make you stop, but I can tell you that particular word, and all the history and feeling behind it, is offensive to me. I don't use it, I don't hang with people who use it, and I don't believe I should have to read it in a place where I'm paying to do business. At the very least, if you insist on posting it in these public forums, would you consider including a type of benign "spoiler space" so I can avoid it?
It's
not my intention to start some big convo, forum, or Admin-involved
back-and-forth deal. I'm just asking that you consider the people
sharing the Etsy environment with you."
